Experiential Frameworks

2019 Academic Project

Architectural Design Studio 3

Duration: 2 Weeks

Creating a design by deconstructing the structure of unique shapes wrapped in metal sheeting. Forging two deconstructed building blocks, the first being trusses, and the second being metal sheeting to wrap the structural components. By using these principles, the creation of many different circulation patterns emerged. Creating an adult playscape inclusive to all ages and intellectual levels. Letting the user decide his or her own path.

The model photo above shows the concept of the deconstructed blocks, and how they correlate to one another, also showing the relation to the site.

The figure above explains the idea of an “adult playscape”, showing a human walking on the west building. The structure is intended to expand on the small walkway between buildings instead of confine one the pathway.
